This Transformation Journey Of The Corporation Has Led To Improvement In Financial Position Which Has Resulted To Cost Savings Culture Performance Drive. Going Forward, The Nnpc Has Laid A Solid Foundation For Its Transformation; Both The Business Models, The Core Business Of Nnpc Had Been Outlined, Production, Refining, Processing Then Of Course Sales And Marketing Of Both Crude And Petroleum Products Reforms.
The Coordinator Corporate Strategy And Planning And Director Transformation Office Of The Nnpc, Dr. Tim Okon Said The Transformation Effort By The Corporation Was As A Result Of The Need To Reposition For Growth, Profitability And The Changes Witnessed In The Global Oil And Gas Industry. Speaking On The Impact The Transformation Has Made On The NNPC, Dr. Okon Noted That The Corporation Is Now More Focused And Well Positioned To Measure Up With The Challenges Of The Industry.
He Reiterated The Need To Improve On The Current Efforts At Transformation To Enable The Corporations Efforts Be At Par With Developments Around The Global Oil And Gas Industry. On The Fiscal Regime In The Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB, Dr. Okon Explained That It Is One Of The Best In The World Especially For Small Fields While Describing The Regime As Profitable.
He Anticipated That Five Years After The Passage Of The PIB The Corporation Will Become More Profitable And Commercially Viable To Compete With Its Counterparts Around The World. Dr. Okon Called On The National Assembly To Expedite The Passage Of The PIB In Order To End The Uncertainties In The Oil And Gas Industry. Speaking In A Similar Vein The General Manager Transformation Office NNPC Mr. Yemi Adetunji Said A Lot Of Achievements Have Been Recorded Both At The Upstream And Downstream Sector Of The NNPC.
Adetunji Comments Further On The Success Of The Transformation Program Stating That The NNPC Is Aligning Quickly With Developments In The Global Oil And Gas Industry.
