Airtel Nigeria has introduced ultra-high speed Wi-Fi service to enhance customer data experience in Lagos.
The telecoms company said the
introduction of the ultra-high speed Wi-Fi was in line with its
commitment to providing exceptional mobile Internet experience for
Nigerians.
It said that with the development,
residents and visitors to Lagos would have access to super-fast Internet
in public places and be able to connect wirelessly to the Internet
through their smartphones, tablets, laptops and other smart devices.
The service is available to all mobile
phone users irrespective of their network and as part of the incentives,
Airtel offers free 15 minutes per month to every user.
Already, Wi-Fi hotspots have been
deployed to Ozone Cinema, Yaba; Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island;
and Alausa Shopping Mall, Ikeja.
Speaking about the initiative, the Chief
Commercial Officer of Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Maurice Newa, described the
service as a milestone in the company’s effort to strengthen its
relationship with customers.
He said, “This service is designed to
