Some Nigeriens who were among 82 illegal immigrants arrested in different parts of Lagos State for being in possession of voters cards, in a dramatic confession said they wanted to make money with the cards.

Shield Against AIDS Virus in Monkeys 'Astonishingly Effective' ---New Drug

‘It’s My Party’ Singer-Songwriter, Lesley Gore, Dies at 68



Singer-songwriter Lesley Gore, who scored a massive hit in 1963with “It’s My Party,” died Monday. She was 68.

Accelerated trials roll out Ebola vaccine candidates in west Africa

While the pace of the Ebola epidemic that has raged across Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone since March 2014 appears to be slowing, researchers are rushing to roll out Phase III trials for vaccines against the disease.

President Jonathan's Salary And Tax Payment Details Revealed

President Goodluck Jonathan made tax payments of N6, 264,221.75 to the Federal Inland Revenue Service, (FIRS), out of a total of N43, 230, 871.44 as president between 2011 and 2013. Details of the president’s tax payment also showed that the president did not earn any other income besides his fixed income as president of the country in that period.

There were no indications of income from stocks or other businesses that the president could have had. Despite earning a regular service of N14, 410, 290.48 in each of the three years, the president tax liabilities however increased in 2012 and 2013 to N2, 510, 775. 77 up from the N1, 242, 670.21 paid in 2011.
